Perfect Cell: Paper Mache Clay Abdomen

So my paper mache sculpture Perfect Cell was needing  some work on his abdomen area.( Note:  I love learning from my mistakes!!!!) What I did was when I paper mache clay I started at the feet and went up until the waist, then I started paper mache claying the upper half of the body like the arms and rib area not realizing how heavy this stuff makes it. Since I didn't paper clay the abdomen, this spot got weak from the new weight the top part had. Well now I have paper clayed the abdomen and now he stands tall with no issues.

BEFORE: The top leaning from the weight
Put Perfect Cell in the position I wanted by
placing something to hold him there.
ABDOMEN BEFORE: As I was pushing his arm up it tore a bit to get the arm where I wanted it. You can also see where I only paper mached and where I put paper mache clay.
ABDOMEN AFTER: I put paper mache clay on
abdomen and let it dry. Will be stronger than ever. Also am going to grid the shape into it.

PERFECT CELL: Paper Mache Claying Ankles and Hips!

Finally was able to take time to work on cell again. I have taken cell off off the pedistal he was on and laid it on my art table to sculpt somethings that couldn't be sculpted standing up, so this will help getting this sculpture finished sooner and it will be stronger. Ok more updates soon. Share this and like this!

Perfect Cell: Sculpting Left Arm To Wrist For Paper Mache

I've been working hard at his arm the last couple of days. It's going very well so far. Thought it was going to give me more trouble that it did. Here below is what I've done so far. As you can see I started sculpting the muscles, my next post will be over the coverage of sculpting this arm with the paper clay.

Perfect Cell: Smoothing Out Paper Clay

After adding the paper clay a few weeks ago, today I have started to smooth it down and its started to have a stone look which is what I have always dreamed of. Michelangelo has always inspired me to go forth with the talents God has given me. He was a great artist. Well here is the pic I hope you can tell the difference. Working on the Left Hip!

I have been waiting for the moment I would get to this point on this sculpture. Im excited about getting finished. Well here I have already sculpted the right leg, now I'm sculpting the left leg. Then after that I will be touching up a little on the legs then I will focus my attention on the back of the torso.

What to expect in the coming Week!
I will be working on the neck area and also the arms ( which by the way this sculpture has never had arms)
so im really excited about that. So be expecting some major sculpting in the coming week!
